Empowering growth through emotional healing.

A former teacher turned mental and emotional wellness coach, Kerri helps clients work through life transitions and the patterns that hold them back, guiding them with compassion, empathy and intuition.

In Kerri’s words

From the classroom to emotional wellness

My path to becoming an emotional wellness coach has been a transformative one. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Eastern New Mexico University and a Master of Education with an emphasis in leadership from MidAmerica Nazarene University. My early career as a teacher allowed me to connect deeply with children and cultivate a passion for guiding and teaching others. Despite my love for teaching in that capacity, I felt a compelling need to shift my focus to a new avenue that aligned even more closely with my personal passions.

This came after I experienced my own emotional healing journey and decided to use my path for my purpose: to teach and guide others through their healing journeys. That pivotal decision led me to embrace mental health and emotional wellness coaching, where I thrive in helping individuals unlock their full potential and lead empowered lives. My approach is grounded in fostering a profound connection between mind, body and spirit, using my expertise and intuition to guide clients toward emotional healing and growth.

My goal is to meet each client where they are with compassion, empathy and kindness. I believe in teaching my clients how to use their own intuition in order to understand and break free from limiting beliefs that are creating obstacles.

Mental and emotional wellness coaching with me involves exploring mild to moderate symptoms and issues, working through life transitions and uncovering underlying patterns and behaviors that may be hindering personal growth. I also like to integrate hypnotherapy, as needed, for clients who have a difficult time accessing their blocks or emotions.

My professional toolbox includes a range of certifications that enhance my coaching abilities. Each one contributes to a holistic approach to mental health and emotional wellness coaching, allowing me to support clients through a wide range of challenges.

Understanding the work

The tools Kerri uses

Coaching sessions draw on three disciplines, chosen for each client and each stage of their journey.

Mental health coaching

A mental health coach is a type of life coach who specializes in non-clinical mental health issues. It goes deeper than typical life coaching, but stops short of diagnosing or treating a mental illness. Kerri’s training at the iNLP Center uses parts psychology as its foundation.

Neuro-Linguistic Programming

NLP explores how the brain (neurology), language (linguistics) and behaviors (programming) interact to shape how we experience the world. Because thoughts, language and behaviors are connected, changing one can change the others, helping people move past unhelpful patterns toward the outcomes they want.

Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy guides a person into a relaxed, focused state where they are more open to suggestion. It can help people explore thoughts, feelings and memories that are hard to reach consciously and see them differently. Kerri integrates it as needed for clients who find it difficult to access their blocks or emotions.

How coaching compares with therapy

  • Paid professionals with training rooted in psychology
  • Act as accountability partners
  • Meet regularly, usually for an hour, with homework between sessions
  • Talk about goals, problems and solutions
  • Focus the effort exclusively on the client
  • Ask probing questions and offer feedback
  • Reference the past, present and future

Please note: coaching is not a substitute for medical or psychological treatment. Only licensed counselors and psychiatrists can diagnose and treat mental illness. If you are in crisis, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or call 911.

It is clear that helping others is her true passion, and this shines through in every interaction.

From the moment we began working together, it was evident that Kerri’s approach was deeply personalized and tailored to my individual needs. She took the time to genuinely understand me, delving into aspects of myself that I hadn’t previously acknowledged. Through her insightful guidance, I was able to uncover parts of myself that had been hidden and recognize patterns that were obstructing my sense of freedom and happiness. Kerri’s ability to identify these barriers, along with her expertise in supporting me on an emotional healing journey, was both enlightening and empowering.

What truly distinguishes Kerri is her remarkable spiritual gift of intuition. She integrates this intuitive ability seamlessly into her practice, providing an additional layer of depth to her already profound expertise. This intuitive guidance was instrumental in helping me gain a fuller understanding of myself and has allowed me to move forward with renewed clarity and confidence.

My life has become infinitely better because of Kerri, and the possibilities for my future now feel endless.
