My path to this work
I obtained my Bachelor of Science degree in Public Health from California State University, with a focus on Community Health Education and Promotion, in 2007. In 2021, I returned to school to pursue my Master’s of Public Health, this time with a focus on Clinical Nutrition. Health education and clinical nutrition are two passions that I continue to nurture within myself and others.
Through my own illness, I sought out a practitioner who could help my fragile and difficult body navigate the effects of breast implants and toxicity within my body. Before finding Dr. Bhakta, each practitioner I explored would utilize a protocol that would send me back into a spiral of illness.
In January of 2020, I knew that my body was failing on a new level. Even after removing my breast implants in 2017, the autoimmune downhill slope reactivated within a couple of years, and I was left to navigate something no doctor understood. I soon developed pernicious anemia, which then started to affect my heart.
I explored all aspects of physical healing with little success, and in a last-ditch effort, made an appointment with a chiropractor who would change my life forever. Together, we soon uncovered that the root of my illness was beyond the mere physical. Dr. Bhakta aided me through the unraveling of my illness, and I soon realized that no protocol would have worked for me. This was my blueprint, and I had to walk through my personalized healing journey.
At the core of my being, I was longing for emotional development, spiritual truths and relational pattern adjustments. As I began to heal these over time, I began to see what I had buried for so long: my own true nature, the desires of my heart, my gifts, my traumas, my patterns, my coping mechanisms, the person I had become in order to survive the situations I was in.
This unraveling took many years, and truly, I don’t believe it ever ends. Each layer I have peeled back has brought more realizations and beauty into my everyday life. It has rippled to my family in ways I never imagined. As we work to heal ourselves, I can now see how we heal behind and ahead of the current time.
Nutrition was not the singular practice that I utilized to heal my body, but without changing my diet, I would not have healed.
With this experience, I work to meet patients where they are in their healing journey. As a clinic, we understand that protocols can work to a point, and many times, personalized protocols can make the biggest impact. We are here to support you, mind, body and spirit. Through this integrated approach, we will work as a team to support your path forward.
We are all just walking each other home.Bella Blue
